Consultation and past structure of licence fees for the electricity gas and water and sewerage sectors

​​For the period 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025

The Regulator approved the final Structure of Licence Fees for the electricity, gas and water and sewerage sectors on             11 March 2020.

In developing the structure of licence fees that will apply from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2025, the Regulator consulted with licensees and other interested parties through the issue of a Consultation Paper and a Draft structure of licence fees for the electricity, gas and water and sewerage sectors.

Consultation closed on 31 January 2020. Five submissions were received as part of the consultation process.

The Regulator released the approval final Structure of Licence Fees​ in March 2020.​

The Regulator published the approved final Structure of licence fees for the electricity, gas and water and sewerage sectors, for application from 1 July 2017, on 28 March 2017.

In developing the structure of licence fees that apply from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2020, the Regulator consulted with licensees and other interested parties through the issue of a Consultation Paper and a Draft structure of licence fees for the electricity, gas and water and sewerage sectors.

Consultation closed on 10 February 2017. Two submissions were received as part of the consultation process.​

Having given consideration to the issues raised in submissions, the Regulator progressed amendments to its draft structure of licence fees as circulated for public comment. A brief outline of the matters raised by interested parties, and the Regulator's responses to them, is provided here.

For the period 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2017

In developing the structure of licence fees that will apply from 1 July 2014 to 30 June 2017, the Regulator consulted with licensees and other interested parties through the issue of a Consultation Paper seeking submissions on the proposals set out in that paper.


No detailed submissions, relevant to the assessment of the proposed methodology, were received as part of the consultation process. Rather, two acknowledgement responses, which indicated support for the proposed structure, were received from the:
