On Friday, 2 October, TasWater announced that it is progressing a solution for customers who have been significantly affected by high fixed sewerage charges associated with large water connections, despite relatively low water use and sewerage discharge.​

TasWater has advised the Economic Regulator that it will be contacting affected customers to discuss alternative arrangements for their fixed sewerage charges, taking into account their individual circumstances.
