There has been an unprecedented level of engagement and interest in TasWater's proposed PSP5 and the Economic Regulator's investigation.

The Economic Regulator's Draft Report was published on 2 February 2026 and invited submissions by 13 March 2026.

In total the Economic Regulator received 102 submissions during this investigation. Of these, 29 submissions were received prior to the release of the Draft Report, with a further 72 submissions received in response of the Draft Report. These submissions represent views of a diverse variety of TasWater customers and stakeholders including industry representative and local advocacy groups, businesses and industrial customers, councils and individuals. Submissions were also received from the Environment Protection Authority and both sides of Government.
