November 2009

The Regulator releases the 2009 Review of Aurora Energy Pty Ltd’s Aurora Pay as You Go, Final Report.
The Regulator invites written submissions on the 2009 Reliability Review Draft Report.
The Regulator releases the submission received from Aurora Energy in response to the Notice of Intention to Declare Retail Tariffs and Related Special Services for Non-Contestable Tariff Customers.
The Regulator invites written submissions on its proposed dissolution of the Reliability and Network Planning Panel. To assist interested persons making submissions, the Regulator has prepared a Consultation Paper. Submissions close on 23 November 2009.

October 2009

The Regulator publishes the 2008-09 Annual Report of the Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator.
The Regulator invites written submissions on its proposed revised Code change process for the Tasmanian Electricity Code. To assist interested persons making submissions, the Regulator has prepared a Consultation Paper. Submissions closed 13 November 2009.
The Regulator issues a Notice of Amendment concerning the amendment of the generation licence held by Musselroe Wind Farm Pty Ltd to increase its prescribed total generation capacity and contribution to the power system to 168 MW.
The Regulator publishes submissions received in response to his APAYG Draft Report.
The Director of Gas invites written submissions on an application for licence amendments from BBI TGP Pty Ltd.

September 2009

The Regulator invites written submissions on his proposal to declare retail services for non-contestable tariff customers. Submissions are also invited on the draft terms of reference for the investigation into maximum prices for retail services and the Regulator’s proposed approach to the investigation. To assist interested persons making submissions, the Regulator has prepared a Consultation Paper.
The Regulator invites written submissions on his Draft Report on the Review of Aurora's Pay as You go (APAYG) product.
The Regulator commences the 2009 review of the reliability of the Tasmanian power system and invites licensees and interested parties to comment on matters contained in the terms of reference.
The Regulator agrees to transfer and amend the generation licence held by the Rivers and Water Supply Commission to Tasmanian Irrigation Schemes Pty Ltd.
The Regulator publishes Aurora Energy’s pro-forma fallback contract for tranche 4 customers in the gazette.

August 2009

The Regulator releases the Final Decision on the approval of Aurora Energy’s pro-forma fallback contract for tranche 4 customers .
The Regulator has been requested by the Treasurer to undertake a review into a number of aspects of the Aurora Pay As You Go offering by Aurora.
The Director of Gas amends Tas Gas Retail's gas retail licence by removing the undertakings clause from the licence.
The Director of Gas grants a gas pipeline construction licence to BOC Limited.
OTTER releases it Comparison of 2009 Australian Electricity Distribution Use of System Charges Report.
The Regulator has extended the closing date for submissions on his intention to declare the supply of raise contingency frequency control ancillary services by Hydro Tasmania as a declared electrical service. Submissions closed 28 August 2009.
The Regulator releases its Determination not to grant an exemption to Aurora Energy to relieve it from its obligation to pay Single Outage Duration Guaranteed Service Level Payments to eligible customers who were affected by the interruptions to electricity supply caused by the windstorm of 22 January 2009.
OTTER has released a Supplementary Report to the APAYG Price Comparison Report examining the new concessions available to APAYG concession customers effective 1 August 2009.
The Regulator publishes a revised Consultation Policy and Procedures of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator Guideline that will take effect from 6 August 2009.

July 2009

The Regulator invites written submissions on its draft decision on Aurora Energy's draft pro-forma fallback contract for tranche 4 customers and proposed retail margin and retail service costs.
The Director of Gas invites submissions on the application for a gas pipeline licence from BOC Limited.
TRUenergy Pty Ltd surrenders its gas retail licence, effective 1 July 2009.
The Regulator gives notice of his intention to declare the supply of raise contingency frequency control ancillary services by Hydro Tasmania as a declared electrical service, through the publication of an Issues Paper.
The Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator releases the July edition of the OTTER News newsletter.
The Director of Gas makes a determination on amendments to the Tasmanian Gas Distribution Code and Tasmanian Gas Retail Code, effective from 7 July 2009.

June 2009

The Regulator releases his Statement of Reasons and decisions in regard to the approval of Aurora Energy's 2009 - 10 Network Tariff Pricing Proposal and Retail Pricing Proposal.
OTTER has released its 2009 Aurora Pay as You Go (APAYG) Price Comparison Report and issued a Media Release.
The Regulator issues a Notice of Amendment that amends the generation licence held by LMS Generation Pty Ltd to include an additional generation unit and to reflect the licensee's new company name.
The Regulator issues a Media Release advising of his approval of Aurora Energy's retail tariffs for 2009-10.

May 2009

The Regulator releases a Consultation Policy and Procedures Consultation Paper on proposed amendments to the Consultation Policy and Procedures of the Tasmanian Energy Regulator Guideline and invites comment.
The Regulator has received Aurora Retail's Pricing Proposal for the period 2009-10.
The Regulator publishes a revised Electricity Supply Industry Performance and Information Reporting Guideline that will take effect from 1 July 2009.

April 2009

The Director of Gas varies the Gas Retail Licence previously held by Option One Pty Ltd, to reflect the new name of the licensee: Tas Gas Retail Pty Ltd.
The Treasurer has released two documents prepared by the Regulator in relation to water and sewerage interim pricing, including the Final Report to Inform the Development of an Interim Pricing Order for the Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Sector and Revised Interim Pricing Analysis for the Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Sector.
The Director of Gas varies the Gas Distribution (Operations) Licence and the Gas Distribution (Construction) Licence, previously help by Powerco Tasmania Pty Ltd, to reflect the new name of the licensee: Tas Gas Networks Pty Ltd. At the same time, the Director of Gas renews the Certification of Allocation Agent of Tas Gas Networks Pty Ltd, for a further three years.

The Regulator decides not to grant full generation licences to Pasminco Australia Ltd, Moorina Hydro Pty Ltd and Australia Paper Ltd on the basis that the applicants no longer operate the generators at the relevant sites and a licence is no longer required.
The Regulator publishes the Tasmanian Water and Sewerage State of the Industry Report 2007-08 which comprises an assessment of the performance of the water and sewerage industry in Tasmania in 2007-08. A media release has been issued.

March 2009

The Regulator publishes the Structure of Electricity Licence Fees that will apply to licensed electricity entities from 1 July 2009.
The Regulator publishes the 2008 Reliability Review Report.
The Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator releases the March edition of the OTTER News newsletter.
The Director of Gas releases the Gas Codes Consultation Paper on proposed amendments to the Tasmanian gas retail and distribution codes, in relation to annual performance reporting by licensed gas entities, and invites comment. .
The Director of Gas makes a determination on amendments to the three Tasmanian Gas Codes, effective 23 March 2009.
Launceston General Hospital surrenders its electricity generation licence, effective 19 March 2009.
Blowing in the Wind Pty Ltd surrenders its electricity generation licence, effective 17 March 2009.
The Regulator seeks comments on proposed amendments to the Electricity Supply Industry Performance and Information Reporting Guideline .

January 2009

The Regulator releases Notice of Amendment 1 to amend Transend's transmission licence, subject to any valid written objections from interested parties.
The Regulator transfers an electricity generation licence from Alinta Energy (Tamar Valley) Pty Ltd to Aurora Energy (Tamar Valley) Pty Ltd effective 23 December 2008.

December 2008

The Director of Gas releases the Gas Codes Review Consultation Paper and invites licensees and interested parties to comment.
The Tasmanian Reliability and Network Planning Panel seeks comment on its 2008 Reliability Review Draft Report .
The Regulator publishes the 2007-08 Annual Energy Supply Industry Performance Report which comprises an assessment of the performance of the energy supply industry in Tasmania in 2007-08. A media release has been issued.
The Regulator approves Version 2.1 of the Guideline for a Tasmanian Annual Planning Statement.
The Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator releases the December edition of the Energy Events newsletter.
